The Stillspace

Where It Comes From

I've always worked and studied best with music running. I'd play lo-fi anime opening music, sometimes medieval-tavern music, or even coffee shop jazz. For some reason, I've always been drawn to these chill kinda YouTube channels with beautiful aesthetics and music. I liked the feeling of being "transported" into another world just for a brief moment, like reading a book.

While building Kaldra™, that feeling became a concept: the Stillspace.

The Stillspace, in my conceptualizations, is achieved when one reaches a state of inner peace, like nirvana. It's a private, personal Realm that looks different for everyone.

One person's Realm in the Stillspace can be a quiet library, or a storm outside a window, or a tavern at the edge of nowhere, or an abandoned observatory, or an apartment overlooking a cyberpunk skyline.

I wanted a place that held all of those at once, and came up with The Stillspace.

What It Is

Simply put, it is a YouTube channel of ambient worlds: medieval taverns, cafés floating above the clouds, quiet observatories at the edge of a mountain, rain against old stone. There is a realm for everyone.

Each one is a different shape of the same idea: somewhere to disappear into while you work, study, or just sit still for a while.

I didn't want Stillspace to just be background noise, but a portal to another world, and that's the foundation we want to build The Stillspace on.

Where It's Going

Future plans for The Stillspace include digital wallpaper packs reflecting the realms that people resonate with, sub-channels with specific Realm for those who really want a specific Realm, and an active, growing community of like-minded people who can form groups and work, study, and relax together.
